Summary: This is a general job description for the position of Operations Manager. This position is responsible to lead, coordinate, and build the Operations team to maximize the department contribution to the overall company purpose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Customer Satisfaction – This position is responsible to provide each customer with all agreed upon service to assure their satisfaction.
1. Account Knowledge – Complete knowledge of all matters concerning the service to our customers.
a. Knowledge of all Controller routes, heavy work, and supervisory requirements.
b. Document, schedule, and complete all service requirements at each account, including "unique personality," supply purchase, and special needs/service.
2. Quality Control – Responsible for the quality of service our customers receive. Monthly or as needed walkthroughs with clients for quality service.
a. Maintain consistent customer relations as determined by the Managing Owner.
b. Administer the local Quality Control Program.
c. Assure the completion of all formal Quality Inspection and PR’s for current accounts.
d. Secure letters of recommendation from customers.

B. Employee Satisfaction – This position is responsible to build, train, and lead a team of qualified employees to assure the satisfaction of current customers and for anticipated growth.
1. Staffing responsibilities include but are not limited to:
a. Coordinate efforts of the Human Resources Department to assure that all positions are staffed.
2. Area Managers and Unit Managers.
a. Responsible for the development and performance of the Area and Unit Managers.
b. Responsible for ongoing Unit Manager training and reporting per policy.
3. Training – Administer all training programs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Equipment – Assure all employees have the proper equipment to perform their assignments, and that they exercise proper care and maintenance of the equipment.
5. Administer the Supply/Special Service Department responsibilities.
C. Growth – This position is responsible to maximize growth by providing the reputation to maximize sales, avoid unnecessary losses, and the staff to support anticipated growth.
1. Anticipate department needs to facilitate planned billing growth.
2. Provide "evidence" of customer satisfaction to the Sales Department to assure maximum sales effectiveness, including letters of recommendation, Quality Control Reports, current list of references, etc.
D. Competitiveness.
1. Labor Control – Goal: _________ percent.
a. Approve initial budgets for all responsibilities.
b. Regularly evaluate and adjust budgets on each account.

c. Evaluate labor daily through the UKG system and resolve all over-budget items immediately.
d. Maintain timely labor visibility through UKG reporting.
2. Expense Controls – Maintain all supply and equipment costs within guidelines established by the Managing Owner.
3. Increase Revenue – Increase revenues through special service, resale of supplies, and billing of extra work.
F. Other.
1. Reporting:
a. Communicate with the Managing Owner on a daily basis to coordinate schedules and problems.
b. All Operations reporting in accordance with established company policies and deadlines.
2. Attendance at:
a. Staff meetings.
b. Company meetings.
c. All company-sponsored functions.
