We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead and optimize all manufacturing operations within our high-volume Aluminum End Plant. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing the entire production cycle—from Shell Press and Compound Lining through Conversion and Packaging—ensuring maximum operational efficiency, uncompromising quality, and the continuous development of a high-performing production team.

Essential Job Functions
OPERATIONAL AND EFFICIENCY LEADERSHIP
- Achieve and maintain industry-leading targets for Overall Line Effectiveness (OLE) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across all production lines.
- Develop and manage production schedules, staffing levels, and workflows to meet daily volume targets and customer delivery deadlines while managing overtime.
- Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., scrap rates, unplanned downtime, material yield) and lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts to drive continuous improvement.
- Directly manage, coach, and evaluate Shift Supervisors and indirectly oversee all Operators (Shell Press, Compound Liner, Conversion Press).
- Oversee and ensure the execution of the operator training and certification programs (Levels 1-4) to develop technical expertise and internal succession planning.
- Foster a positive safety and performance-driven culture across all shifts.
- Ensure strict adherence to all quality standards, including critical score specifications, compound cure, and packaging integrity.
- Lead the production response to customer quality complaints and non-conforming product investigations.
- Manage the implementation and effectiveness of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems on the production floor.
- Champion the plant safety program, ensuring strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding procedures across all shifts.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Tool Room to prioritize preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and major machine overhaul projects to minimize strategic downtime.
- Manage the departmental operating budget, including labor, consumable supplies, and waste disposal costs, constantly seeking efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a production leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in a high-volume, continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably in metal forming, packaging, or an aluminum can plant.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols (OSHA) and quality management systems.
- Willingness and proven ability to be critically available (on-call/after-hours) to respond to urgent plant-level operational issues.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt).
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems, robotics, and advanced controls.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Understanding manufacturing processes.
- Prefer data collection and analysis experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
- Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information.
- Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, 2D drawings, P&IDs, fluid and electrical
