Paving / Restoration Inspector

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Paving Inspector to join our dynamic team in Berks County, Pennsylvania. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and landowners to ensure the success of paving projects while upholding safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

As a Paving Inspector, you will resolve day-to-day issues, verify project specifications (such as traffic plates, patch sizes, and locations), and ensure job sites are clean, safe, and compliant with local regulations. Acting as a liaison between UGI and paving contractors, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining professional relationships and delivering excellent client results. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and values collaboration.

This is a field-based role in Berks County, PA or Lehigh Valley, PA, with a focus on hands-on oversight and compliance. 

Responsibilities:

• Proactively address and resolve daily challenges involving clients, contractors, and landowners to ensure seamless project execution.

• Verify traffic plates are properly placed and pinned per local regulations.

• Ensure traffic plates are securely placed and pinned according to local regulations, prioritizing public safety and compliance.

• Verify patch sizes, depths, and locations align with cut sheet drawings and ensure proper coordination to avoid conflicts with other utilities.

• Conduct thorough inspections of completed patches to confirm safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

• Oversee the removal of equipment and supplies, ensuring job sites are left clean, safe, and hazard-free.

• Act as a liaison between UGI and paving contractors, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.

• Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the success of the team and the project.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with 1–3 years of experience in paving, construction, or a related field.

• Knowledge of paving practices, materials, processes, and local safety regulations.

• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, cut sheet drawings, and blueprints.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with contractors, clients, and landowners.

• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and inspect job sites for extended periods.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Hands-on experience in paving or a related field, with a strong commitment to quality and precision.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams in the field.

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet client needs.
