Title: Office Engineer I
Key Identi ers for the Position
- Technical/Construction background with experience in an operating/active environment
- Knowledge in design and construction contracting practices and methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in the project design life cycle from Concept to Project De nition Book to Permit to Bulletins
- Knowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle from Pre-Construction to estimating/buyout to phasing to implementation to Closeout
- Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved
- Contributing to a high level of team morale through professionalism that re ects well on the project team, external stakeholders and owners/internal stakeholders
- Assist the CTA Curbside Improvement Program in the receipt, distribution and maintenance of submittals. Perform construction contract correspondence, document and plan control function, input data into PM Web, and prepare management information status report, as required.
- Update and maintain logs for submittals and RFIs in PMWeb, the project information system.
- Maintain project les and document / submittal management systems (hard and electronic copies). Work with the Contractor(s) to ensure the drawings are posted e ciently and in a timely manner. Distribute documents, submittals and RFIs for review; track and compile responses/review comments, obtain management approval and issue responses to Contractor(s).
- Manipulate electronic les of various formats to create exhibits for presentations and meetings.
- Complete other responsibilities and assist as assigned to support the project such as attend and document project meetings (write agendas and minutes), perform expediting functions, and prepare and maintain an expediting log.
- Pro cient in Microsoft O ce Suite and Bluebeam
- Ability to work in PM Web preferred
- Five (5) years or more experience, preferably on airport projects
- Experience with projects more than $50 million in value.
- Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design CMAR and Design/Build
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other related eld required
- Optional certi cations may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional license or certi cations.
- This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $82,300.00 - $92,300.00 and commensurate with skill, education, experience, and work location.
- This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
