Job Description:
Strategic marketing, product marketing, communication, and branding are lynchpins to successful cluster development. The mission of the Pillar Leader, Vision and Brand is to wake up every morning thinking about how they build and promote a compelling story that promotes EKC and the many assets and opportunities our region offers. Crafting and communicating a unified message that showcases EKC’s operating system for economic development and the applications that support EKC’s OS will drive daily activities. The Pillar Leader, Vision and Brand is also charged with working closely with other EKC Pillar Leaders to market EKC products and programs that support the operating system to increase product adoption, increase engagement, build brand awareness, and create elevated experiences for all stakeholders.
OWNERSHIP
- Increase in brand equity
- Cluster by cluster communication plan and strategy.
- Product adoption plans and strategies.
- Program and event marketing campaigns.
- Social media content calendar.
- Stakeholder report publication and distribution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement detailed marketing strategies to position EKC as the operating system for economic development.
- Develop and implement detailed marketing strategies to position region as a magnet for talent and enterprise growth.
- Promote the EKC brand, tools, and programs to attract talented professionals and high-growth enterprises to start here, grow here, and stay here.
- Create and manage the development of content for all EKC tools / programs that is consistent with brand guidelines and relevant to target audiences (quarterly reports, press releases, event summaries, testimonials, one-pagers).
- Understand current and future Cluster requirements and translate them into specific branding strategies to support cluster development activity.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to create seamless communication channels.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
- Remain current on issues impacting the Cluster by maintaining expertise in functional assigned areas.
- Develop and execute project plans related to vision and brand and hold regular stakeholder meetings to update project progress.
- Work with Pillar and Cluster leaders to optimize the Cluster Ecosystem.
- Respond to all requests from external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend user group and networking events across the region to build relationship and brand equity.
- Comply with all company policies and proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information.
- Develop and deliver weekly Progress, Problems, Plans (P3) report.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to tell compelling stories through both imagery and through clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create a compelling, end-to-end brand story.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast-pace, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to energize and manage a network of people to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Ability to create and implement a software product launch.
- Ability to create and implement compelling social media campaigns.
- Ability to put team success above personal preference.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills (MS Teams skills a plus).
- Strong social media skills (LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite tools.
