This role is responsible for ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll tax compliance, employee records, and payroll reporting across the organization.
What You'll Do
As our Payroll Administrator, you will:
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review employee time records and ensure payroll accuracy
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and employment changes
- Process payroll tax deposits and assist with payroll tax filings
- Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger
- Administer wage garnishments
- Complete employment verifications
- Prepare certified payroll reports as needed
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing
- Generate employee payroll and statistical reports
- Provide front desk coverage as needed
- Support additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of five (5) years of payroll administration experience
- Experience processing payroll taxes
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience using computerized payroll and accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Payroll experience within the construction industry
- Experience with certified payroll
- Construction or cost accounting experience
