Responsibilities
- Maintain precise financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Prepare detailed journal entries and conduct account analysis to support accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and governmental accounting standards.
- Conduct regular building inspections, coordinate maintenance schedules, and oversee repairs to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Assist with budgeting activities, monitor expenses, and support financial report writing for internal stakeholders.
- Handle administrative tasks such as 10-key typing, document filing, and maintaining asset protection records.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar tools; experience with technical accounting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting standards, governmental accounting procedures, and GAAP compliance.
- Expertise in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation (including bank reconciliation), and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, tax experience related to financial transactions.
- Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and write comprehensive financial reports.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy; strong problem-solving skills related to account analysis and account reconciliation.
