Job Purpose And Scope
This role is responsible for receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling and performing cycle counts for materials within our Transmission warehouse. Supporting service centers across the territory – TX, LA, & MS. Using established material-handling practices, this role also ensures the safe, organized, and efficient placement of materials throughout the warehouse and yard areas.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Learn and adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures
- Attend and participate in monthly Safety meetings
- Receive and stock material – check for any damage and verify packing list against the material
- Conduct routine cycle counts
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and various other lifting/hauling devices to transport or relocate large heavy items
- Accurately pick and prepare materials for shipment
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties in all areas of the warehouse and yard
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions – heat, cold, rain, snow, ect. As this is primarily an outside job
- Must be willing to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be available for out-of-town storm response due to providing support to TX, LA, & MS
High school graduate or equivalent.

- Shipping procedures
- Maximo computer functions terminology, and operations
- Inventory control, storage concepts, and methods
- Warehouse safety and security practices and procedures
- Knowledge of forklift/pallet jack safety
- Knowledge of MSDS sheets
- Knowledge of use of shrink-wrap machine
- Knowledge in use of PPE’s
- Knowledge of warehouse work practices
