Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in LaPlace, LA, for an Outage Superintendent at Entergy. The Outage Superintendent will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of plant outage activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and cost-efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing resources, schedules, and budgets; leading cross-functional teams; ensuring adherence to safety protocols; and identifying opportunities to optimize outage processes. The role also involves preparing reports, conducting post-outage reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage plant outages, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
- Strong understanding of maintenance practices, equipment troubleshooting, and operations in power generation
- Proficiency in managing budgets, timelines, and safety protocols
- Strong leadership and project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Technical expertise in power generation equipment and systems; familiarity with industry best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
