Job Duties
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using systematic approach to training. \
- Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.
- Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified non-licensed operators.
- Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
Minimum education required of the position
Desired: B.S. Degree in education, engineering or related technical degree or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Required Of The Position
- Instructor, Ops (Nuc): At least 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction.
- Instructor, Sr Ops (Nuc): At least 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction -AND- current or previously SRO licensed or certified.
- Instructor, Ops Sr Staff Nuc: 5 years operations experience commercial or military -AND- current or previously SRO certified/licensed -AND-[one of the following] minimum 2 years as a fully qualified instructor to include Simulator Floor Instructor qualification -OR- 2 years on shift SRO licensed experience (this “or” is to be in those licenses on shift at the Sr Ops Staff level).
Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Instructor, Ops (Nuc): Desired: SRO license or certification on BWR, PWR or both. Note: Operations instructors require an SRO license or Certification prior to teaching Licensed Operators.
- Instructor, Sr Ops (Nuc): Required: SRO license or certification on BWR/PWR -OR- 3 years fully qualified Non-Licensed Operator or above on the current site.
- Instructor, Ops Sr Staff Nuc: Required: SRO license or certification on BWR/PWR
