What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at EnTelegent Solutions?
The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the Finance Department with a concentration in accounts receivable. This role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, processing customer payments, managing accounts receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and works closely with the Billing and Client Service teams across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Process customer payments and monitor customer account balances
- Perform timely follow-up on outstanding invoices and resolve customer disputes or payment delays
- Collaborate with Billing and Client Service teams to ensure accurate customer account management
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile construction-related accounts
- Record journal entries in accordance with established accounting principles
- Assist with month-end and annual close processes
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple systems and a dynamic work environment

This position requires the ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, using standard office equipment, and communicating effectively with internal teams and external customers.
