In this role, you'll help maintain ENTEK's grounds through mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, snow removal, equipment operation, and general property upkeep. What You'll DoAs a Landscaper at ENTEK, you will help maintain and improve the appearance, safety, and functionality of our grounds and outdoor spaces.

In this role you will:

• Cleans grounds, removes litter, leaves, snow
• Apply salt or other methods of ice removal
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs
• Operates tractor with large mower
• Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls
• Cuts and maintains lawns
• Perform daily functional and safety inspections of assigned equipment
• Adherence with all safety policies, procedures and programs
• Promote safe work habits (ear plugs, safety glasses, safety PPE)
• Ensures the workplace is kept clean and orderly
• Promotes and follows company policy, support management decisions and company directions
• Holds self-accountable
• Sprays lawn, shrubs, trees, fencelines with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides
• Apply granular fertilizer, insecticides, and herbicides as required
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Ensure the lawn and shrubs are watered appropriately
• Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts
• Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears
• Performs routine maintenance and makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, chain saws, spreaders, spray equipment and string trimmers
• Ability to work onsite at an ENTEK facility. This is not a remote position.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), required.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
• Applicators license and/or orchard maintenance experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The following physical and activities are necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.

• This is a very physical job that requires the ability to work 8 to 12 hours per day during high demand season, spending the majority of time on their feet.
• Ability to climb ladders, operate tractors, lawnmowers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, chemical sprayers and other landscaping equipment.
• Frequent holding and grasping with the hands.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, dirt, gas and/or fumes.
• Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. If situations arise requiring lifting or moving of items exceeding 50 pounds, the employee must review it with the supervisor to determine safe techniques to avoid injury. The employee must use proper lifting techniques when required to lift and/or move objects.
• Responsible for handling or moving hazardous waste material and products.

Schedule

This position is primarily a day-shift role. Due to seasonal demands and weather conditions, candidates must be flexible and available to adjust work hours as needed, including occasional early starts, extended shifts, or weekend work to support landscaping, snow removal, and grounds maintenance operations
