Procurement Specialist
35-40/HR
MUST HAVES:
- Proficiency in MS applications; must specifically have experience using Excel at an intermediate level.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience working in a corporate/commercial environment.
- Technically proficient in reading and comprehending engineering drawings; ability to analyze BOM.
- Ability to analyze technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
- Works closely with suppliers to identify and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
- Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Proficiency with personal computers and networking.
- Experience within the Aviation field is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functions as a purchaser and works closely with the assigned engineering and logistics liaison.
- Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on delivery schedules of suppliers.
- Meet deadlines and deliverables, work multiple projects simultaneously and rapidly communicate recommendations, and develop courses of action
- Works with vendors to receive quotes and presents to leadership for decision
- Assist in resolution of supplier issues.
- In some cases, managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock of essential items.
- May support the inventory control and receiving team, as needed, using automated processes focused on improving supply chain management and providing inventory tracking and audit trails.
- May support requirements for kitting.
