• Salary Range: 70,000 - 75,000

Job Summary

The Packaging Engineer provides engineering support to manufacturing by designing efficient, cost‑effective packaging solutions that meet customer requirements. This role supports packaging design, documentation, process improvement, and assembly builds while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (AS) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in packaging engineering, plastics manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment
• Experience with packaging design, tooling, fixtures, or assembly support
• Ability to create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) and build prints
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with CAD software preferred

Job Description

• Design and implement innovative, reliable, and cost‑effective packaging solutions that meet customer and business requirements
• Create and maintain accurate bills of material (BOMs) and build prints for both repeat and long lead‑time items
• Support manufacturing and assembly builds by providing technical packaging guidance
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction and quality‑improvement initiatives through design changes and process optimization
• Evaluate packaging and manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to gather product requirements, conduct site visits, and support packaging design efforts
• Identify, source, and recommend specialized components or materials needed for packaging systems
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and industry regulations
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to drive packaging innovation and operational excellence
