FP&A Analyst
Located in: Garden City, NY
We are seeking a talented FP&A Analyst to join our team in Garden City, NY. This role plays a critical part in driving financial insight, strategic decision-making, and performance management across the business unit. Reporting to the DVP, Business Unit Controller, the FP&A Analyst will partner closely with senior leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, capital investments, and business growth initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate consolidation and reporting of business unit financial performance
- Analyze and explain key variances versus budget, forecast, and prior year
- Monitor and communicate trends in KPIs including revenue, gross margin, expenses, and working capital
- Support monthly/quarterly close, forecasting, and reporting activities across facilities
- Lead development and enhancement of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
- Implement and maintain business intelligence tools and dashboard reporting
- Prepare financial analyses for capital investments, acquisitions, and business improvement initiatives
- Oversee planning and coordination of the annual consolidated budget process
- Assist with SOX 404 compliance and quarterly control testing
- Prepare and support financial presentations for Division and Executive Leadership
- Participate in business unit site visits and operational reviews as needed
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- 5 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- 3–5 years of leadership or management experience
- Public company and M&A experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404 requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling), PowerPoint proficiency
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Business Central)
- Proficiency with financial consolidation tools (HFM) and analytics platforms (Power BI)
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to confidently present to senior and executive leadership
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Travel 10%–20% (business unit site visits, operational reviews)
