Seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to drive technical files, guide certification work, and ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards for scientific and industrial equipment with a medical device background.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, preferably Master's
- Minimum 5 years experience in compliance engineering
- Experience obtaining UL, cUL, CE certifications
- Knowledge of safety and EMC requirements in North America (UL, CSA) and Europe (IEC, EN)
- Experience with schematic capture and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Skills:
- 8-10 years experience in compliance engineering
Responsibilities:
- Drive technical files and communication with safety agencies
- Monitor creation of new standards and requirements
- Guide engineering teams on certification work across diverse product portfolios
- Participate in design verification testing and safety agency testing
- Conduct risk assessment activities including Hazard Analysis and FMEA's
- Develop strategies to secure national/international safety certifications for products
