Compliance Engineer

Seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to drive technical files, guide certification work, and ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards for scientific and industrial equipment with a medical device background.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, preferably Master's
• Minimum 5 years experience in compliance engineering
• Experience obtaining UL, cUL, CE certifications
• Knowledge of safety and EMC requirements in North America (UL, CSA) and Europe (IEC, EN)
• Experience with schematic capture and Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Skills:

• 8-10 years experience in compliance engineering

Responsibilities:

• Drive technical files and communication with safety agencies
• Monitor creation of new standards and requirements
• Guide engineering teams on certification work across diverse product portfolios
• Participate in design verification testing and safety agency testing
• Conduct risk assessment activities including Hazard Analysis and FMEA's
• Develop strategies to secure national/international safety certifications for products
