What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applications Engineering Leader - Microcontroller position at Entegee?
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical liaison for strategic customers to support design wins and ensure product integration into production systems.
- Partner with applications design teams to meet customer requirements and assist in mass production transitions.
- Develop and manage technical documentation, including application notes and product guides.
- Support Field Application Engineers (FAEs) through product training, application guidance, and development of demo/reference tools.
- Conduct in-depth industry and customer research to define system/application requirements and drive adoption strategies.
- Collaborate with internal product design teams to align features with next-generation system needs.
- Perform system-level testing of new products and provide feedback to design teams.
- Lead the development of support tools (evaluation boards, simulation models, datasheets, etc.) to align with new product launches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s degree a plus
- 10 years in power electronics applications and/or design
- Proven experience engaging Tier 1 customers, securing design wins, and troubleshooting
- Strong project management and cross-departmental communication skills
- Hands-on experience with power electronics lab tools (oscilloscopes, EMI tools, analyzers, etc.)
- Familiarity with design tools such as Pspice, SIMetrix/Simplis, MATLAB, Mathcad, Excel
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex power systems
- Experience developing and supporting technical collateral (app notes, training, demos)
