Job Position: Insurance Account Manager
Location: Troy, MI 48084
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing client accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the agency.
Responsibilities:
Client Service:
Field and respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
Assist clients with policy changes, claims assistance, insurance advice, and payment processing.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
Carrier Relations:
Interact with underwriters and other carrier representatives on behalf of clients.
Address underwriting questions, assist with home inspection concerns, and resolve other underwriting issues.
Sales & Growth:
Identify and cross-sell additional lines of business to existing clients.
Contribute to new business development efforts as needed.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate client records and policy information.
Assist with agency-wide projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a personal lines insurance role (e.g., Account Manager, Customer Service Representative)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience with agency management systems (AMS)
Knowledge of various personal lines insurance products (e.g., homeowners, auto, renters)
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience
