Experienced Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine

Currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join an Internal Medicine practice. We are looking for a professional, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant who is confident working directly with patients and supporting physicians in a clinical setting.

Position Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations
• Obtain and document accurate vital signs and medical histories
• Perform blood pressure checks and EKGs
• Administer injections as directed by the physician
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clean, organized clinical areas
• Assist with patient flow and ensure patients receive excellent care
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Medical Assistant diploma or state certifiction
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Internal Medicine or primary care experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable performing EKGs, injections, and taking vital signs
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills
• ProfessAional, dependable, and team-oriented
