Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy Practice located in Farmington Hills. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent patient-service abilities, and a genuine interest in helping patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient information
- Assist the physician with routine examinations
- Assist with in-office procedures as directed by the provider
- Administer injections, EKGs and other diagnostic testing.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain appropriate medical supplies
- Clean and sterilize equipment according to office protocols
- Update and maintain accurate patient charts and medical records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and patient follow-up as needed
- Communicate with patients regarding instructions, procedures, and follow-up care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA requirements
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred or state certification
- Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience
- Current BLS through The American Heart Association or willing to obtain
- Strong clinical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- EMR experience
