What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiology Assistant position at ENTCC?
Audiology Assistant
The Audiology Assistant will work alongside four Doctors of Audiology to assist patients with hearing aid care, clinic preparations, and other patient support tasks related to hearing devices and accessories.
The audiology assistant will:
- Assist the audiologists with necessary daily tasks
- Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing devices
- Manage and evaluate drop off hearing aids including in-office repairs, hearing aid cleaning, troubleshooting, and sending out devices to manufacturers
- Communicate with patients as needed
- Update patient information appropriately in NOAH/EMR
- Be responsible for audiology stock, supplies, etc.
- Check status of orders
- Prepare hearing aid contracts and necessary paperwork
- See patients for basic appointments such as re-pairing hearing aids in software
- Help troubleshoot alongside patients regarding Bluetooth connectivity issues and accessory connectivity
Prior experience with hearing aids preferred, however you are encouraged to apply if you are personable, detail oriented, organized, and open to learning about audiology. This is a position we are happy to grow with you and could move into a hearing instrument specialist.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
