Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Audiology Patient Care Representative to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing exceptional patient service, managing medical records, and supporting clinical operations within an audiology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure smooth clinic operations while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls and responding to patient inquiries.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations, fittings, follow-up visits, and repairs.
- Check patients in and out and maintain efficient patient flow.
- Collect patient payments.
- Register new patients and maintain accurate demographic information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with hearing aid intake, repair, and manufacturer warranty processing.
- Receive, document, and notify patients when hearing aids, earmolds, or accessories are received and ready for pickup.
- Coordinate hearing aid repair shipments and maintain tracking records.
- Manage hearing aid supplies, accessories, batteries, and inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Process hearing aid purchases and accessory sales.
- Educate patients on basic hearing aid care, maintenance, cleaning, and battery or charging options, referring clinical questions to the audiologist.
- Prepare hearing aid paperwork and patient forms as needed.
- Process incoming referrals, faxes, and medical records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Protect patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide administrative support to audiologists and assist with additional office duties as assigned.
- Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient and practice confidentiality
Previous Audiology Experience is a plus
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
