Refund Specialist

ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Refund Specialist for our Corporate office.

The Refund Specialist is responsible for thoroughly researching and reviewing credit balance accounts and issuing refunds, where appropriate, to insurance carriers and patients on timely basis.

Main responsibilities include:

• Receiving a report of new credit balance accounts for investigation and resolution of each account.
• Receiving refund request from all collection departments and insurance carriers for investigation and resolution of the account.
• Maintaining and updating the refund spreadsheet for other department to review.
• Prepare the refund with supporting documentation for approval from the Director of Patient Accounts.
• Process the refund file to the AP department.
• Attach all supporting documentation to the refund check and forward for signatures from the CEO or CFO.
• Responsible for all Credit Card refunds.
• Mailing out all approved and signed refund checks.
• Scan and file mailed refund in ICS.
