We’re hiring an Auto CAD Technician/Associate Scientist to work from our San Antonio, TX, location. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of technical projects from simple to complex. You’ll spend time redlining, updating, and tracking technical drawings for geoscience maps and engineering diagrams, as well as interpreting instructions from geologists and engineers, and assembling technical documents. Responsibilities
As an Auto CAD Technician/Associate Scientist at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include:
- Utilize AutoCAD to draft maps and diagrams under the direction of geologists and engineers
- Apply scientific interpretation to draft isopleth lines from geoscience and engineering data
- Collect and enter laboratory analytical data into standardized tables
- Assemble photographic documentation from job sites and apply technical descriptions
- Prepare job site status updates and accounting records for on-going projects
- Initiate technical reports and cost estimates under direct supervision
Qualifications
We’re always looking for people who are self-motivated, learning-oriented, and client-centric. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum, you’ll also need a few more qualification requirements:
- Associate degree, technical training certificate, or established experience in AutoCAD
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or architecture with CAD course work
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Technical writing and communication experience
- 1-5 years of experience
- Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check
It would be great if you also have:
- Prior experience working in oil field-related industry
Compensation
$22 to $28/hr
