Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Principal duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine (Dual Spindle Dual Turret). Eurotech Rapido type machines.
Running first piece article ready for inspection.
Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.
Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions.
Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.
Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel etc.
Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.
Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.
Other similar or related duties as required.
Some post-processing of hardware.
Requirements:
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in CNC operation with setup experience.
Experience with dual spindle dual turret type of lathe or Swiss machine a plus.
Some programming software experience is a plus.
General knowledge of GD&T and inspection tools.
Minimum High school education or equivalent. Machinist trade certification a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
Experience with precision inspection tooling (calipers, thread gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, air gauges etc.)
Night Shift Schedule is Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 3:00am
Compensation:
Salary Range: $22.00- $28.00 per hour. Minimum of Ten (10) hours of over-time available weekly. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Shift premium is 10% for hours worked on 2nd shift.
