Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of representatives to provide exceptional service.
- Set performance standards, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage work schedules to meet service demands.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and handle escalated customer concerns.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional logistics services.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline customer service processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices to optimize customer service operations and ensure on-time delivery and order accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall logistics service quality.
- Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure department performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation.
- Provide training and development opportunities for your team to improve their skills and product knowledge.
- Keep the team updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Facilitate communication between the customer operations team and other departments to ensure a seamless logistics process.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management, clients, and carrier partners.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in an operations management role within the logistics industry.
- 5 years of experience in the supply chain, logistics, package/ freight industry
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with Transportation planning systems.
- Experience with WMS or Company ERP systems is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, industry regulations, and market trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in PBI/Data Warehouse tools.
