Position Overview
The Data Specialist - Contractor is a reliable, well-organized individual who assists the Business Intelligence and Analytics team with client-partner data processing and analysis. The position has two areas of focus:
- Pre-campaign launch: assisting with downloading, organizing, validating, cleansing, deduplication, and general preparation of data for loading into marketing automation and CRM platforms
- Post-campaign launch: assisting with downloading, organizing, validating, cleansing, deduplication, and general preparation of data for ROI and performance analysis
Position Outcome
The most critical services or results expected from this position:
- Timely and efficient processing of data sets from disparate sources, including CRM funnel data, licensed lists, suppression lists, and campaign activity data
- Reliable management and communication of daily data tasks and time tracking using project management software
- Exceptional internal and external customer service by meeting campaign deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive representation of enrollmentFUEL's professionalism and dedication to mission values in all interactions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Business Intelligence & Analytics team in ensuring all campaign launch and reporting data deliverables are met and the core value of deliver and delight is exceeded
- Download and organize client partner data files from various sources (SFTP, network drives, campaign repositories, etc.)
- Process data for email, digital, and print marketing campaigns ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Ability to maintain confidential information and process data according to company and/or client privacy and security protocols
- Understanding of general CRM data and record management, preparation, and import/export procedures
- Knowledge of institutional/organizational policies, procedures, and administrative practices, generally administered in higher education, but particularly, in enrollment management (preferred)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proven ability to independently prioritize and execute multiple tasks and complex projects simultaneously among demanding timelines
- Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex data-related concepts in a clear and concise manner
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience using data tools/platforms such as Alteryx or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in information systems, management, or related data/technology field
- Broad knowledge of current data protocols, operating systems, and virtual technologies
- Technical knowledge and analytical skills to identify complex system issues and coordinate an effective resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, college administration, and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical matters effectively with people of varying skills and background
Work Environment and Work Distribution
Time will be spent in a remote office setting. Reliable internet connectivity and speed are required.
80% - Performing data operations and processing, task management and communication, and maintaining efficiencies in data procedures and automations
15% - Answering questions, working with internal team, troubleshooting, and resolving issues
5% - weekly meetings and planning
Physical Demands
- Visual and auditory acuity with speaking and hearing ability sufficient for headset/phone usage and conversations
- Manual dexterity sufficient for work on a computer
- Ability to stand or sit, in alternating fashion, for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, on occasion
- Ability to travel to work functions out-of-state, when needed
