What are the responsibilities and job description for the QHSE Inspector position at EnQuest Energy Solutions LLC?
The QHSE Inspector is responsible for performing quality assurance, quality control, and safety/environmental compliance functions at the Odessa facility. This role verifies conformance of parts and processes to requirements, documents results, and helps ensure the facility maintains applicable permits and follows QHSE procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Evaluates production for conformity to the latest revisions and specifications
· Inspect machined components, weldments, andassemblies for conformity to current drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer/EnQuest requirements using calibrated tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges; visual inspection).
· Document inspections, including initiating and executing NCRs, reports, checklists, and logs; inputting data into quality database
· Inspects incoming materials by confirming part numbers, and specifications, using calibrated inspection tools and visual inspection
· Create Manufacturing Record Books in accordance with relevant shop and production documentation; and in accordance with customer or Enquest requirements
· Documents information of critical components and ensures data packages are complete
· Monitor NDE activities
· Experience in welding or fabricating is desirable including the inspection of welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME
· Assist with the development of the ISO 9001:2015
· Perform DOT inspections for finished products
· Works safely and adheres to all EnQuest HSE program requirements
· Responsible for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality compliance.
· Maintaining facility permits such as Air permit, SWP3, and Spill Control and Countermeasure Plan
· Promote safe work practices and procedures to reduce TRIR and LTI
· Provide training for shop and office personnel in accordance with OSHA requirements, including On-boarding, Electrical Safety, LOTO, Hazard Communication, etc.
· Perform facility site inspections with action items and follow-up.
· Assist in safety toolbox talks, JSA’s and JHA’s, record keeping, and facility audit
Skills/Knowledge Required
· Knowledge or experience with OFS, Compression, and Drilling equipment is preferred
· 5 years of QC experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Must be able to read and learn drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics, tolerances, weld symbols, GD&T
· Communicate effectively with technicians, Quality Manager, and Shop Supervisors
· Competent computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Ability to learn DOT inspection
· Working knowledge of NDT and coating activities
Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to paint fumes or airborne particles and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.
