- Supervise the production flow within the machine shop to ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Improve equipment utilization, shop organization, and tool maintenance.
- Plan work schedules and expedite workflow in conjunction with Production Supervisors and Account Managers to meet customer expectations.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate performance of employees directly reporting to this position.
- Work with shop floor, Manufacturing Engineers, and Facilities and Maintenance teams to identify and execute process improvements.

- Basic PC skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software packages.
- Effective English written and verbal skills required. Able to take detailed and well-organized notes to summarize meeting results, agreements, action items, and problems.
- Able to operate in a less-controlled environment with consistent feedback to manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing or machining preferred.
- Ability to prioritize shifting workloads.
- Preferred CNC Machining experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing operations, including machining processes.
- Familiar with a broad range of processes such as machining, detailing, welding, and assembly.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Thorough understanding of machining equipment set-ups and practices.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Regular walking, bending, and moving about the facility to supervise work conditions and interact with staff.
- Visual acuity to inspect parts and review detailed documents and reports.
- Must be able to lift/pull/ push 35 lbs. unassisted.
