Job Overview
ENPRO Environmental is a locally owned and operated company, providing quality environmental consulting throughout the State of Hawaii for 25 successful years. ENPRO provides comprehensive environmental services to support property transactions, property development, and construction activities ranging from small renovations to large re-development and infrastructure projects.
Project managers are responsible for project schedule, project budget, and client satisfaction relative to their projects. Project managers are expected to spend a significant amount of time in the field in addition to report writing, scheduling, client communication, and management of project teams. Some travel is required. Successful candidates may be requested to perform extended neighbor island assignments.
The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting profession, preferably in Hawaii. Candidates that meet the criteria of a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) as defined by the State of Hawaii Department of Health will receive priority.
This position is full-time, in-office with hybrid work from home/in-office status available after successful completion of on-boarding. Full-time employment may include evening and weekend assignments, as well as extended assignments to the neighbor islands.
Minimum Requirements:
* Local resident (State of Hawaii, preferably O'ahu)
* Four-year college degree in physical, biological, geological or related science.
* Three or more years of successful environmental experience.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated.
* Ability to communicate clearly, read and write in English.
* Detail oriented with excellent written communication skills.
* Computer and technology efficient.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to take control of and be accountable for assigned work.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients.
* Ability to work outside for 8 hour shifts as required by project and client needs.
* Ability to load and unload project equipment and supplies (up to 50 pounds)
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and have clean driving record.
* Must have dependable personal transportation and Hawaii Driver's License.
* Strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ability to perform as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP).
* Knowledge of and successful experience working with the DOH Technical Guidance Manual (TGM).
* Successful experience with Phase I/Phase II Environmental Assessments and/or preparation and implementation of Removal Action Work Plans, Environmental Hazard Evaluation/Environmental Hazard Management Plans (EHE/EHMP), Construction EHMPs.
* Experience designing, managing, and documenting remediation projects (soil, groundwater, asbestos, mold, lead, other waste).
* Successful experience performing as Asbestos Project Monitor for large scale abatement and renovation projects.
* State of Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Certifications in asbestos and lead (inspector, project monitor, risk assessor, project designer, etc.).
* Successful experience in fire damage assessment, remediation planning, monitoring/oversight, and final clearance.
* Experienced in environmental management of large loss insurance projects including flood, storm, fire, earthquake, etc.
* Other professional environmental or related experience (EA/EIS, ESCP certification, civil engineering, SWPC, SWPPP, etc.)
