Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician in Attleboro, MA is responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This person will provide daily quality support and ensure processes and products are in conformance with customer expectations. The QA Tech will collaborate with their team and demonstrate Interplex’s values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that day-to-day inspection activities (receiving, in -process, final-including supporting documentation) are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Verify FPI, LPI and in-process samples with a Vision Measuring Machine (OGP, Micro-Vu).
- Be able to effectively use hand measuring devices such as micrometers, vernier calipers and drop indicators.
- Methodically disposition non-conforming product from Material Review Board.
- Perform Internal Process Audits per Quality schedule.
- Prepare, process, examine and measure encapsulated Cross Section samples.
- Perform and document weekly Particle Count measurements.
- Provide coverage and assistance to Quality Technicians as needed (First Piece, Last Piece, In-Process and Receiving Inspections).
- Assist in welding parts as needed.
- Coordinate customer required Cleanliness Test samples with laboratory and document/assess results.
- Perform monthly internal QA requirements such as Annual FAI reports and Product/Dock Audits.
- Aid Quality Supervisor with evaluation of New Product Development/Customer Prototypes/special projects.
- Acknowledge and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions in an ISO Certified environment.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and Corrective Action investigations.
- Efficiently organize and maintain accurate inspection data documentation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality related position.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with Vision Measurement Machines and other measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, drop indicators).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
- Must be able to problem solve and multitask under minimal supervision.
- Experience in chemical etching is a plus.
