Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Master Degree preferred.
- Experience working for a nonprofit organization is beneficial.
- Experience in a leadership position in Human Resources preferred, including experience supporting or leading key HR functions.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule within established business hours as needed.
- Ability to meet all employment eligibility and organizational hiring requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation, review, and continuous improvement of human resources policies and procedures.
- Provide consistent guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies, practices, and standards.
- Prepare and coordinate HR-related documentation, reporting, and analysis for organizational leadership.
- Partner with the CEO on employee relations matters, investigations, grievances, and other employment-related issues.
- Direct recruitment efforts in alignment with organizational hiring requirements and workforce needs.
- Develop and oversee onboarding, orientation, and training programs for new, current, and supervisory staff.
- Oversee employee compensation, benefits, recruitment, retention, discipline, and employee relations processes.
- Manage leave administration and employment-related programs, including disability, FMLA, flexible spending, unemployment, and workers' compensation.
- Develop performance standards, maintain position descriptions, and support performance review processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of human resources best practices and employment law.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the organization.
- Provide direct leadership and supervision to Human Resources Department staff.
- Support the selection, hiring, onboarding, and development of HR team members.
- Facilitate training sessions in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure team members complete required orientation and training activities on schedule.
- Conduct ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance management, including disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Ensure employee performance reviews are completed accurately, fairly, and in accordance with organizational standards.
- Promote a positive, professional, and respectful workplace culture.
- Maintain strong working relationships with employees, leadership, visitors, and the public.
- Support special projects and other assignments that advance organizational goals.
