Director of Percussion - Assistant Band Director

This is for percussion coordinator/director for the high school and middle schools. 

Duties would be to teach all areas of percussion and assist in other facets of the band program as needed.

Qualifations: 

- Instrumental Music Degree with a percussion emphasis

- Certified or Emergency-Certified PK-12 Instrumental. Music

- Demonstrates excellent musicianship and artistry as a teacher/performer

- Strong knowledge of music and percussion pedagogy

- Strong communication, public relations, parent relations, and interpersonal skills.

- Positive role model

- Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations

- Detail oriented, logical, and methodoligical approach to problem solving

- Ability to implement policy and procedures

- Drum and Bugle Corps Experience and/or WGI Indoor experience preferred

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and conduct for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move equipment.
• Ability to travel for competitions and performances.
