We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Home Care Nurse to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor, document, and report vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist with laboratory testing as ordered
- Collect and properly process specimens
- Provide wound care, including dressing changes and suture removal
- Perform catheterization when clinically indicated
- Assist with gastric procedures as required by the plan of care
- Educate patients and families on proper care techniques, safety, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Experience with catheterization and wound care procedures
- Excellent patient-centered care and communication skills
- Ability to accurately measure, interpret, and document vital signs
- Familiarity with suturing and post-surgical care
- Emergency room or acute care experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, PRN
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
