Sustainability Engineer

Join a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in MEP engineering, commissioning, and high-performance building design. We're seeking a Sustainability Engineer to support landmark projects across healthcare, higher education, commercial, aviation, civic, and mission critical markets.
Responsibilities
- Perform whole-building energy modeling using IES-VE (or EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, DesignBuilder, or eQuest with a willingness to learn IES-VE)
- Conduct energy efficiency, decarbonization, electrification, renewable energy, and Net Zero analyses
- Support LEED, WELL, LBC, RESET, and other green building certification efforts
- Perform life cycle cost analyses, energy audits, and incentive/rebate evaluations
- Collaborate with architects, owners, and MEP engineers to develop energy and water efficiency strategies
- Provide technical guidance on sustainability initiatives, energy codes, and industry best practices
- Present sustainability topics internally and externally through training sessions and client meetings
Qualifications
- 5β7 years of experience in energy modeling and sustainability consulting within an MEP consulting or engineering firm
- Proficiency with IES-VE preferred (EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, OpenStudio, eQuest, EnergyPro, or CBECC also considered)
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of high-performance building systems, energy codes, and sustainability strategies
- Knowledge of LEED and WELL design principles (LEED AP and/or WELL AP preferred or working toward accreditation)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
