Site Safety Coordinator

About the Opportunity:
A leading mechanical and electrical contractor with a strong presence across the Midwest is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to support a large-scale construction project in Fargo, ND. This role will work closely with project teams and safety leadership to ensure compliance with safety standards, promote best practices, and help maintain a proactive safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation and enforcement of site-specific safety plans and company safety policies
- Conduct regular job site safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Partner with field teams to promote safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
- Maintain accurate safety documentation including daily reports, audits, and training records
- Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for field personnel
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and participation
- Work closely with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Promote a culture of safety through coaching, mentoring, and field presence
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in construction safety, preferably within mechanical, electrical, or general contracting environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage field teams and leadership
- Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and training sessions
- OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Ability to be on-site full-time in Fargo, ND
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
