Overview
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of product development—from initial design ideation and concept development through production launch. This role requires strong coordination across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and quality functions to ensure that project goals are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
This is a key role within our Engineering and Project Management organization and carries high visibility with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects for Industrial Products including pumps, compressors, and related accessories.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and success metrics; track and report KPIs to assess project health, drive accountability, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and internal policies.
- Develop detailed project plans outlining goals, scope, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Create and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and analyze variances to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Chair cross-functional project reviews from ideation through launch; document findings and drive follow-up on actions and decisions.
- Identify project risks and develop robust mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage change control processes, ensuring that any scope, schedule, or budget adjustments are documented, reviewed, and approved.
- Facilitate resolution of first-article build issues, including challenges related to design, materials, suppliers, and processes.
- Oversee project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and post-launch performance evaluations.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, escalating critical issues as needed.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented atmosphere in interactions with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while driving team performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Scope
- Position based in Haverhill, MA, with minimal travel requirements.
- Collaborate with global teams across the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and India.
- Manage complex technical projects from concept through production launch.
- Guide cross-functional teams independently to deliver on project objectives.
- Utilize appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) based on project requirements.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a technical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and inspiring cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record delivering projects of varying complexity through production release.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage evolving project scopes and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear business impact.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred:
- Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM) and/or MBA.
Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
