We are partnered with an MEP engineering and technology firm that is focused on bringing their client's visions to life and continuing their growth as a leading firm.
They are looking for an accomplished Mechanical Engineer who wants to influence a collaborative mechanical engineering team while continuously improving the technical quality and efficiency of the department. You'll be a leader across their unique projects across commercial, higher education, K-12 schools, multi-family residential, and healthcare sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an MEP, consulting engineering, or design-build environment who wants significant influence over a mechanical department and a chance to be a part of a strong working culture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the mechanical engineering department.
- Manage and mentor Mechanical Team Leaders and Senior Team Leaders.
- Provide technical leadership across mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Serve as the final authority for technical QA/QC.
- Oversee project staffing, workloads, schedules, and deliverables.
- Develop and improve engineering standards, processes, and technical resources.
- Support complex projects as the mechanical subject matter expert.
- Partner with firm leadership on hiring, training, and department growth.
What We’re Looking For
- 12 years of AEC experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design experience.
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.
- Strong project management and QA/QC experience.
- Advanced Revit proficiency.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
