What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level 4 Superintendent position at Engtal?
Superintendent (Level 4) – Complex, High-Profile Projects
If you’re at the point in your career where you’re running jobs, mentoring teams, and want to be part of a company that actually values its field leaders—this is worth a look.
We’re working with a well-established, growth-focused general contractor that has built a reputation for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the region. They’re continuing to expand and are looking to bring on a Level 4 Superintendent to take ownership of larger, more technical work.
This isn’t a “babysit the schedule” type of role. You’ll be the person driving the job.
What stands out about this opportunity:
- Real ownership of projects – You’ll lead jobs from preconstruction through closeout, with full control over site operations, sequencing, and execution
- High-level work – Projects are complex, visible, and well-supported (think large commercial, institutional, and technically challenging builds)
- Strong internal support – You’re backed by experienced PMs, leadership that understands construction, and teams that communicate well
- Stability pipeline – Consistent backlog of work, not a “finish this job and figure it out later” environment
- Culture that respects the field – Decisions aren’t made in a vacuum—your input actually matters
- Growth without micromanagement – You’re trusted to run your job, mentor junior staff, and influence outcomes
What you’d be doing:
- Leading day-to-day field operations on large-scale projects
- Managing subcontractors, site logistics, and overall schedule execution
- Driving safety, quality, and productivity across the jobsite
- Coordinating closely with project management and ownership teams
- Mentoring assistant superintendents and helping build strong field teams
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary (aligned with senior-level experience)
- Vehicle or strong allowance gas support
- Bonus structure tied to performance
- Full benefits 401k
- PTO holidays
This is a good fit for someone who:
- Is already running jobs or close to it
- Wants to be part of a company that’s growing (not stagnant)
- Prefers a collaborative environment over corporate red tape
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality projects from start to finish
Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
