Endoscopy Technician Per Diem

Job Summary

Inspects and functionally operates all Endoscopy equipment, electric power instruments and audiovisual equipment to insure optimum safety and performance. Prepares purchase requisitions and disposition of storeroom supplies. Is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory, processing and maintenance of instruments, scopes and equipment. Processes associated paperwork and maintains records on all equipment. Assists the physician and nurse in the procedure rooms of the Endoscopy Suite under the direction of the Patient Care Director or designee.

Job Essentials

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Endoscopy setting.
• Experience in endoscopic reprocessing and management of scopes; knowledgeable regarding infection control standards.
• Strong service excellence skills and must be a team player
  
  

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical schooling preferred.
  
  

Licenses, Registrations & Certifications

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
