About the Role:
The Proposal Coordinator will play a critical role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical proposals around bridge inspection and design. These proposals will support complex projects requiring multiple forms of content to share our firm’s qualifications to perform a variety of engineering work. This position involves producing a wide range of content including full proposals, resumes, and other various marketing materials. These will need to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences including industry experts, potential clients, career fair material, and more. This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts/Project Managers to gather and verify information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RFP and project protocols. They will manage content through established content management systems, maintaining consistency and organization across all resources our department creates and utilizes. Ultimately, this role ensures that technical information is presented in a structured and user-friendly manner, facilitating understanding and company success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical writing and documentation, preferably within an architecture or engineering environment.
- Strong proficiency in content management systems.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience producing written material for technical audiences.
- Familiarity with web content management and publishing tools.
- Background in an architecture/engineering or other technical disciplines.
- Experience working with SF330s or other Standard Forms.
- Certification in technical writing or related professional development courses.
- Experience working with RFPs
- Graphic design experience/willingness learn graphic design
Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit technical documentation such as proposals, resumes, templates, and web content in accordance with project and company branding requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather detailed technical information and verify content accuracy.
- Manage and organize documentation within content management systems to ensure easy retrieval and version control.
- Apply information mapping techniques to structure content logically and enhance readability for various audiences.
- Exceed strict proposal deadlines .
- Create/manage various other marketing materials as required by the company
