Commercial HVAC Installer IV

The Commercial Installer IV uses practical knowledge to complete moderately complex projects and assignments within the Installation family. Helps train or mentor less experienced employees. Works under general direction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Pass all EE pre-employment qualifications
• Commitment to learning and customer service
• Effectively communicate with team members
• Obtain knowledge and follow all Engineering Excellence policies and procedures.
• Get to work on time on a consistent basis
• Performs General Labor tasks on Job Sites, such as clean up, sealing, covering, sorting, unloading material.
• Acquired Basic Hand tools required, Hammer, Snips, Screwdrivers, etc.
• Keeps current on all EU Safety and other issued trainings
• Completed and passed Years 1-4 of Apprenticeship
• Acquired general knowledge of reading Blueprints and Shop Sheets
• Can Measure, Cut and Assist in the install of a variety of duct including, but not limited to, Square, Spiral, Round, Take-offs, Dampers, Grilles, Flex etc.
• Can be given tasks by Lead Installer and perform them.
• Can unload and sort duct and other material received at the jobsite and get them to their proper areas.
• Report any installation issues to Lead Installer in a clear and effective manner.
• Can assist in the installation of the following equipment including, but not limited to, RTU’s and EF’s and associated curbs, Heat Pumps, Fan Coils, Split Systems.
• Work with team to produce installation product that meets the job Plans & Specs
• Keeps current on all EU Safety and other issued trainings
• Ability to work independently on Jobsite.
• Has been trained and certified in the operation of equipment needed on site
• Keeps current on all EU Safety and other issued trainings
• Proficient at reading Blueprints and Installing per Drawings
• Can read Submittals, Specs, Shop Sheets
• Can measure and draw up ductwork for fabrication
• Helps foreman coordinate install
• Communicates well with GC’s on site
• Has been trained and certified in the operation of equipment needed on site
• OSHA 10 Training
• Passed Journeyman’s Test and has Card
• Can lead a team for install per directions of Lead Installer
• Assist Lead Installer in the planning of Installation and Jobsite Safety
• Assist Lead Installer in planning Manpower on projects
• Can work independently and takes the lead when Lead Installer is not on site
• Has been trained and certified in the operation of equipment needed on site
• Can coordinate with other trades, in the Lead Installer’s absence, to ensure installation of TML’s scope
• Assist Lead Installer in staying on top of Jobsite materials and equipment.
• Communicates effectively with Lead Installer and GC
• Keeps current with Jobsite safety as well as those issued by SE

• Minimum Experience: 6 years
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
