As a growing company, we are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of facility operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction while controlling costs and supporting company growth. The Plant Manager will serve as the primary on-site representative of the company, acting as a liaison with customers, corporate leadership, and external stakeholders.
Position Overview:
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all production, quality, engineering, and administrative functions within the facility. This role requires strategic decision-making, operational oversight, leadership of department heads, and maintaining compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Production Management
Oversee daily operations to ensure policies, procedures, and QMS standards are followed. Develop and implement processes to maximize safety, quality, productivity, and profitability. Monitor and guide performance using the Business Operating System (BOS), including resource planning for equipment and labor. Conduct plant communications on business health, customer news, sales activities, and facility projects.
Customer & Corporate Liaison
Serve as the primary facility contact for customer audits, visits, and project requirements. Communicate with corporate leadership regarding business performance, capital needs, staffing, and operational concerns. Work with corporate legal counsel on supplier, contractor, employee, or customer disputes. Maintain professional representation in the local public, addressing state and federal compliance, hazardous waste, and insurance risk concerns.
Sales & Marketing Oversight
Develop market-specific sales strategies and trade show participation plans. Conduct sales calls and host customer visits, ensuring preparation aligns with expectations.
Team Leadership & Human Resources
Assign projects and manage performance reviews for department heads:
1. Engineering Manager
2. Quality Manager (ISO T/S16949 & ISO 13485 Management Representative)
3. Production Supervisor
4. Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Revised 8.25 Engineered Plastic Components, Inc.
5. Customer Service/Scheduler
6. Human Resources/Payroll/Receptionist
Handle inter-company disputes involving safety, harassment, or employee relations with HR support. Foster a culture of accountability, team building, and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Maintenance Oversight
Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods, including year-end physical counts and reporting to corporate controllers. Conduct process audits per the preventive maintenance system to ensure QMS compliance. Authorize and manage expedited freight, customs documentation, and other operational forms.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field required. Prior Plant Manager or equivalent managerial experience. Strong knowledge of business and management principles. Familiarity with industry-standard manufacturing equipment and processes. Computer literacy with proficiency in ERP and office systems. In-depth understanding of ISO T/S 16949 requirements. Proven leadership skills with the ability to create accountability, make decisions, and lead by example. Strong team building, people management, and communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
