Job Purpose:
- The Manufacturing Engineer at Engineered Corrosion Solutions LLC will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and production efficiency. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that address manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products.
- Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
- Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and components required for production.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff to enhance their understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the corrosion solutions or a similar industry.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and optimizing manufacturing operations.
- Experience with CAD software and other engineering tools used in the design and manufacturing process.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools, including CAD and CAM programs.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices, with experience in applying these methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards, including ISO and Six Sigma methodologies.
