Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment issues. Technicians conduct commissioning and warranty work on new equipment. This role requires accurate processing of documentation, maintaining parts inventory, and tracking time and expenses daily using a laptop. The technician will communicate repair needs to Customers and the Support Manager and ensure job sites are cleaned after completion. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and possesses excellent customer relationship skills. They should have a mechanical and electrical aptitude, be able to troubleshoot using mechanical drawings and wiring schematics and have a strong understanding of electrical systems, both A/C and D/C. A willingness to participate in training programs to further enhance their skills is essential.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performing preventive maintenance.
- Diagnosing problems – Root Cause Analysis
- Perform Equipment repair, both warranty and standard
- Performing start-ups on new equipment.
- Process required documentation in a timely manner using a laptop, phone, and tablet.
- Communicating repairs required to the Customer Support Manager
- Log Service activities in Salesforce
- Accurately track parts consumed
- Tracking time and expenses each day.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks virtually and in person
- Maintain a clean workspace while onsite
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks
- Provide troubleshooting via onsite, phone, email

Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent – preferred
- Prefer completion of a Technical Program or commensurate Military Service
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Schedule is Monday to Friday; infrequent weekend days
- Available in office for Virtual Support, when not at customer locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Ability to have a home office to support virtual activities on non-travel periods
- Travel with a toolset and luggage over 50lbs is required
- Located in Texas within the Austin - San Antonio – Houston geography with Austin, TX as the preferred location.
Travel:
- 75% Regional travel is required; travel scheduled Monday – Friday
- International may be required, which may fall on weekend days
