Position Overview
eNGINE is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale, data-centric initiative currently in progress. This role is ideal for a project leader who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys bringing structure to complex programs, and can confidently partner with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
This position requires someone who can effectively manage software development and data-focused workstreams without needing to be the most technical person in the room. Success comes from understanding how application development, data platforms, integrations, and reporting initiatives come together while driving alignment, accountability, and execution across multiple teams.
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and communicating project status in a concise, executive-friendly manner. Experience supporting greenfield or newly developed platforms is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery efforts across application development, data, and business teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, dependency tracking, and risk management plans for complex technical initiatives.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, data, and business stakeholders to align priorities and maintain delivery momentum.
- Facilitate planning sessions, working meetings, and decision-making discussions that remove obstacles and accelerate progress.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and execution challenges early while driving resolution plans across teams.
- Translate technical discussions into actionable updates that can be easily consumed by leadership and business stakeholders.
- Monitor multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining visibility into overall project health and business objectives.
- Drive accountability across teams by ensuring ownership, follow-through, and timely completion of commitments.
- Evaluate competing priorities and help stakeholders determine what work is critical for immediate delivery versus future phases.
- Establish clear reporting, metrics, and governance practices that provide transparency into project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships with developers and technical leads to gain a thorough understanding of project progress and delivery challenges.
- Support a culture of execution by proactively addressing issues and creating momentum across the program.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience leading technical projects, programs, or enterprise delivery initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing software development and data-focused projects in complex environments.
- Experience working directly with development teams and understanding the software delivery lifecycle.
- Strong background supporting initiatives involving reporting, analytics, data platforms, system integrations, migrations, or related technical programs.
- Ability to communicate complex project information clearly and succinctly to senior leadership.
- Proven track record managing projects with evolving requirements, multiple stakeholders, and aggressive delivery timelines.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Experience identifying risks, managing dependencies, and driving issue resolution across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to establish credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading projects involving modern data platforms, data engineering initiatives, analytics solutions, or enterprise integrations.
- Prior involvement with greenfield application development or large-scale platform implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or related project management certification.
- Experience working in environments where speed, accountability, and delivery excellence are critical to success.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; advanced education is a plus.
