Job Overview:
The product engineer/engineering tech is a key member of the ETE engineering group. The role will be responsible for the development of new programs through research of core units. Further responsibilities include creating and documentation of bills of material, specifications, complexity, process steps, and tooling/equipment required to define the remanufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research transmission families to define Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, complexity, common failures, and part usage.
- Manage timelines to keep engineering launch projects on schedule.
- Develop remanufacturing process for automatic transmissions to meet cost and quality objectives.
- Identify design improvements for components to provide enhanced durability and performance.
- Assist in training the operations staff on newly developed programs during launch phase.
- Analyze test results to identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain bills of materials and initiate changes as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an engineering/engineering tech role; automotive remanufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of transmission systems, hydraulics, and electronics.
- Hands-on experience with transmission disassembly, inspection, and assembly processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of automotive automatic transmissions and remanufacturing processes.
- Familiar with hydraulic systems and electronics used in modern automatic transmissions.
- Experience with building and maintaining product BOMs for remanufacturing.
