The Opportunity: As a Technical Parts Specialist, you will be vital in delivering exceptional customer service and support to our dealer and OEM partners. This customer-facing position requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining our long-standing reputation for excellence in the industrial power sector.
- Assist with parts inquiries and orders for complex engine and power components.
- Provide expert technical guidance on mechanical, electric, and hybrid components.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Leverage new technology to enhance the customer experience while expanding your technical product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dealer and OEM support for engine parts inquiries/orders via phone and email.
- Research part requirements through vendor online systems, EPI bill of material breakdowns (BOM), and other means.
- Manage dated order fulfillment, providing accurate lead times on industrial components ordered.
- Educate customers on available maintenance kits, upselling on related components when appropriate.
- Maintain and expand product knowledge using vendor online training systems and internal learning to achieve expert-level understanding of Engine Power products and processes.
- Support efforts to comply with quality system process maintenance and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in automotive, heavy truck, or industrial parts sales.
Education
- High school graduation required.
Technical Aptitude
- Mechanical experience or aptitude is preferred. Product-specific training will be provided.
Software Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Characteristics
- Dependable, professional team player with strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); confidence to work with all levels of the company.
Travel
- No travel is expected in this role.
Pay
- Range starts at $50,000 annually, based on experience; bonus pay opportunities
