What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fintech Developer (C#) position at Engage Partners Inc.?
The company is a fast-growing fintech firm building next-generation infrastructure for credit markets. Our back office platform handles high-volume reconciliation, position management, and reporting across complex credit products. We are a lean, high-performance team where engineers work directly with business stakeholders and see the impact of their work every day.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on C# engineer to join our engineering team. You will own the development and maintenance of reconciliation systems for credit products — ensuring positions, cash flows, and transactions are accurate, timely, and auditable. This is a core operations-facing role with direct exposure to trading, finance, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain systems for credit products (loans, bonds, derivatives)
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines supporting daily workflows
- Identify and resolve breaks between internal systems and counterparty/custodian records
- Collaborate directly with operations, finance, and trading teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions
- Support and enhance position management, cash management, and P&L reporting modules
- Participate in code and design reviews; contribute to system architecture improvements
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on C# development experience in a financial services or fintech environment
- Strong SQL skills — complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning
- Experience with back office systems: reconciliation, position keeping, cash management, or accounting
- Familiarity with mortgage loans is strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a production environment
- Strong communication skills — comfortable working directly with non-technical operations and finance users
- US Citizen or Green Card holder; must be able to work onsite in Greenwich, CT
Nice to Have
- Experience with fixed income or structured credit platforms (e.g., WSO, Geneva, Calypso, Orchestrade or similar)
- Exposure to trade lifecycle management or settlements workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control (Git)
- Prior work in a start-up or high-growth fintech environment
What We Offer
- $140,000 – $160,000 base salary commensurate with experience
- Full Healthcare and matching 401k
- 20% performance-based bonus
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful ownership from day one
- Collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment with a high-caliber team
- Opportunity to shape the architecture of a growing credit technology platform
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
