Compliance Paralegal

The Compliance Paralegal will assist our in-house Human Resource Consultants with supporting Engage PEO’s clients and Legal Department with regulatory compliance, including states, ESAC, and IRS. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and assists with legal documents for attorneys as directed
• Prepares IRS CPEO 8973 forms for new clients, terminating clients, and quarterly updates
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of client addition/termination reporting to state regulatory agencies, ESAC and IRS
• Assist the Legal Department with license renewals promptly. Manage administration of state licensing folders in an appropriate manner
• Assist the Associate General Counsel and VP of Compliance with the client termination process, including contract reviews, investigations, and client notifications Provide weekly reports to the Associate General Counsel on compliance, including client add/drop notifications to the state, ESAC, and IRS
• Performs other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office and Intermedial Microsoft EXCEL skills Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods and processes, and other related matters

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The starting base pay for this position is listed below. However, you should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this hourly range. 

Hourly Rate Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
